yes, i've been working my arse off.
no, i don't think i'll ever have fun again.

and my sister, cruel cruel wench that she is, said to me recently, "You might as well get used to saying you're 37 now. It's right around the corner." Thus plunging me into a startling and deep pit of anger. bitch!

Now, now, some of us are looking at 39. Chill out.

At this point, you're repeating the phrase "booty potato" gratuitiously. You like saying it. You like hearing it. You like the verb phrase, "to hit the booty potato."

You are a frat boy. And you like it.

i admit it makes me giggle.
booty potato.

i think i'll try and teach it to my niece and nephew (by accident, of course. heh.)

Don't whinge about 37. I'm looking at my third straight 38th birthday this summer.

Ooh, you know what? You need to delete the last link in your ManUp blogroll (UA). Blog is defunct, blogger is facing criminal charges.

really? criminal charges? fascinating.

i don't mean to whinge about 37. it's that momentary surge of panic when you realize that you're definitely going against the grain. i had dinner with a friend tonight and when she was encouraging me to buy a place in south shore, i almost broke into hives.

i'm not ready for that!!

you have to email me what happened to UA. i'm intensely curious.

you are totally ready to buy your own place.

Do it before rates get too high. I.e., by the end of 2006. Serious. Mortgage companies will bend over backwards to loan you money.

But before you do anything, get pre-approved to see how much you can afford.

in an ideal world, i'd only want to get a place that is comparable to the one i have now - and, in the city, that's impossible to find. especially on my salary and credit rating. i have no desire to get into more debt just to buy a piece of property.
