did you get the memo?

in case there's anyone out there who's just emerged from a cave and still thinks our iraq adventure was justified, here's the memo that says 'uh...no.'

come on, we impeached clinton for a blow job!
how about impeaching someone for something REALLY important!

As much as I don't like Bush, this memo is really not much more than hearsay. There are no direct damning quotes.

Unfortunately. The part about evidence being fixed around the policy is the opinion of the writer, isn't it? His or her interpretation.

Hearsay..I suppose, but inasmuch as most 'intelligence' is hearsay.

But hear's what I heard cheney and others say: "We KNOW that Iraq has WMD, and we know where they are."

Contentions like that are all one needs to know. And don't give me some malarkey that the missiles or barrels of toxins were whistled away on camels in the middle of the night.

Couple the WMD scam with an ever-changing array of BS explanations why we're they and why we're staying and what you have is one big whopper.

Yeesh..even a 3rd-grader could figure it out.

i often wonder what it would take to 'convince' the average person that we got conned.

would it take bush, cheney, et. al. on camera admitting they pushed through their plan on bogus evidence?

would it take a CIA analyst to come forward and say "i heard my boss tell me to do say saddam had wmd when we knew he didn't so that we would go to war-- not only do i have his sworn affidavit saying he said that, i also have a recording, a video and ability to rip through the space/time continuum and i can show you the moment right now."

is that what it takes? really?

a british debriefing document means nothing then, if it doesn't have a footnote? really?

wow. the methodological rigors of academic study are nothing compared to what the average joe requires to prove he got duped into a bullshit war.

Or maybe the willingness to be lead into and put up with a bullshit war shows where America's heart is?

Not all of us, of course, but those anywhere on the spectrum of from rabid goose-stepping to those who give tacit approval.
