i'm not going to start a lame countdown of what it feels like to be unemployed (not being used; idle; otiose.)
but i do want it noted that my hair is all over the place, my teeth are unbrushed, i skipped the gym, i'm sitting in bed and i'm still in my nightie. npr's soothing tones are coming from my bedroom radio. i've been reading about grant writing and non-profit fundraising and slowly planning the rest of the week. and i'm still in my nightie!
YAY!!

OK..hate to sound like a nag or a pest, but I hope you don't get too comfy with the idle life..
Speaking as one who's been there and back, too much of that relaxing can lead to depression and a kind of defeating sloth that steals the kind of moment you need for getting things going.
Savor those yummy moments, but don't Bogart them!

^ Sorry for the duplicate post..first one didn't appear to "take," so I did it again. whoopsie!
yeah, i've been in this position before so i've got the routine down. a couple days of frolicking and then you treat your next job search like a job - get up early, go to the gym, do job search stuff in the mornings, do personal stuff in the afternoon, follow up and repeat.
having been a grad student for years, i'm well-versed in how to manage loose days.
